Under the knife

Oh… yeah… umm… I think I may have kind of forgot to mention the fact that I’m having surgery on Friday. Not a big deal. Nothing to worry about. Just a hernia. I’ll be bedridden for less than a week and then I’ll be back on the chain gang.

In the meantime, being just a Newbie/Elementary learner, I was wondering if some of you more advanced students might help me with some vocabulary I might need should I ever find myself in a similar situation in China.

Don’t forget to include characters, Pinyin and English in your examples! Thanks! Here’s my vocab wish list:

I think it’s time for another painkiller.

May I please have another pillow?

Be careful! I think you may have ripped my stitches!

Nurse? Isn’t it time for my sponge bath?

I swear I thought she was 18!

*cough* That, uh, last one might have multiple uses.

I’m going to be stuck behind this keyboard for a few days, so expect to hear from me now and then. I’d like to catch up on some of my Chinese studies while I have the downtime.

Anybody want to come over and watch a few seasons of Venture Bros. with me?

Well, it may be simple surgery but it’s still going to involve scalpes and such. Not nice… I hope everything will go well and you’ll recover as fast as you hope and be able to get some CPod lessons done. :-)
