Hey, everyone! I’ve got a few items to touch on this evening, so I’ll keep the snappy patter to a minimum and get right to the meat and potatoes!

1) If you’re reading this at all, it’s a minor miracle! Not a burning bush kind of thing, but worthy of note.

Apparently, all the “auxiliary” bloggers were forgotten when they moved Ken’s blog over to Praxis. I posted a comment about it on that blog and I was very touched to see others do the same. Now, that being said, I do want to say that… hey. It’s their site. If my contributions or the scribblings of my global brothers aren’t helping ChinesePod accomplish their grand mission, then they’ve got every right to pull the plug. Goodness knows I’d miss you guys, but don’t think you’d be rid of me that easy! Still, I don’t think that time is now. I’m sure it was just an oversight and you’ll find a link to yours truly back where it belongs.

2) I spent about an hour last night going through the vocabulary list that I’ve amassed over the last year and I started tagging it, word by word. There’s barely a thousand characters there, but what I found so interesting about it was being given the opportunity to define my own groups for things. It gave me a nifty insight into how I view language and its uses. That’s a pretty fascinating way to look at your own psyche. I’m sure that CPod didn’t have anything so deep and meaningful in mind when they created that feature, but… then again… I wouldn’t put it past them!

3) In addition to buying a house, my latest take-over-the-world project puts me behind the camera as a director for the first time! Over the next few months I’ll be shooting my first independent film, DV Rebel style, and I’ve just been bursting apart at the seams to let people know what’s happening. A few years back I optioned one of my screenplays, Fate of the Dragonfly, but it never got made. I’m rewriting portions of it to include my newfound knowledge of Chinese, and I hope I can count on you folks for a little script doctoring when the time comes!
