Regular Features

Hiya boys and girls! How are you today?

I’m sitting here studying today’s lesson when it occurs to me that I hadn’t yet dropped the hint about the upcoming regular features I’ll be posting to this blog! Oh yes, peng you men, there will be regular features… just you wait and see!

What are they? I hear you ask. Ah, shame on you, Gentle Readers. If I told you now, that wouldn’t be a hint, now would it? That would be telling!

I will say this… you don’t want to miss this Friday’s blog entry. I’m calling it the Friday Five. (Yes, I like alliteration. Anybody know how to say “alliteration” in Chinese?)

Stay tuned for more details!

双声[雙聲] shuāngshēng n. 〈lg.〉 phrase consisting of two or more characters with the same initial consonant; alliteration :) Regular features rule.

No problem :) I actually learned that word in trying to explain to a project manager at work why the translation of a certain company’s slogan made me laugh. It was like a five word alliteration with “R”, and every time I read it I couldn’t help myself from reading it in an Elmer Fudd voice (I’m weak). The Chinese, on the other hand, sounded perfectly fine.
