   The good thing about having a birthday in this season is you’ll get presents no matter how you behaved during the year!

   I hope you’ve done something fun to celebrate today, and wish a long life with plenty of success learning chinese and conquering whatever else life might send your way.

   Happy Birthday Frank! Thanks so much for the gifts! Apparently they arrived just after I walked out of the office for the airport (26 hours later…I arrived here, I could have used some good reading material!)

    Argh, sorry Frank I’ve been slacking off recovering from my own. Belated happy birthday wishes! No, wait, happy birthday season to you!

    I don’t really do xmas myself, so from one who knows what it’s like to grow up spending birthdays alone (or at somebody else’s xmas party), to one whose birthday is even closer to the upstage event, here’s a 100 percent happy birthday to ya!
