Is there a schedule yet for the Shanghai trip? That would be my NY resolution.

  2. 2 Bazza Jan 5th, 2007 at 12:08 am

I suppose my resolution to try and really improved my reading skills.

Thanks for the reminder. Signing up for a Premium subscription was my New Years Resolution.

After a few months of just listening to some of the podcasts, I now have the time and motivation to study Chinese more seriously.

My new year’s resolutions are to improve my chinese and visit China.

I don’t know if everyone have the same problem. My podcast has 3 different albums with one album arranged by dates, the other by categories, and yet another by random. Can someone fix this problem.

My New Years resoluton was to badger the staff at Chinese pod to offer “a la Carte” prices on the different chinesepod components. I dont want to have to pay up for the premium pack just to use the flash cards. What about it?

Great offer, I’ll sign-up as soon my current subscription ends.

Learning Chinese is addictive ! And now, thanks to C-Pod, I can have my daily “fix” !

Happy New Year and best wishes to all of you !

    Hello!

Yes, learning Chinese is my resolution too. Sad to say I am so busy working at ChinesePod that I hardly get around to actually studying. Oops! I really have even less excuse than anyone else out there I think.

Great offer, but maybe ill-timed. Most of us are recovering from Christmas expenses.

By the way — check out John Rash’s portrait of Ken & Jenny. Very nice!

This is good news … makes the decision easier …

You might want to check your in-line graphic. See if you can figure out where the problems lie.

Looks like your copywriters are Chinese or had a huge hangover when they created the graphic. :)

My NewYears resolution is to move to Beijing, teach english and learn Mandarin.
I probably represent 80% of your audience.

If your current subscription hasn’t run out, does the new one get tacked onto the ending date of the old one?

  14. 14 Colleen Jan 9th, 2007 at 10:03 am

    Hi TinTin,

Yes, you are correct, it will just extend your subscription for one year.

Patrick, thanks for the badgering, but I don’t think that that will happen any time soon, a good idea though:)

  15. 15 Richard Sharpe Jan 9th, 2007 at 10:40 am

Actually, that was Paul who was badgering …

  16. 16 Colleen Jan 9th, 2007 at 1:52 pm

Oops! Sorry, I am terrible with names:)

The graphic problem is on route to being fixed, just trying to find the correct file and it will no longer be the 15st!

Getting the most out of my premium subscription, i.e. making full use of the expansion tools is one of my new year’s resolutions.
Finding a way to get the most out of the lesson discussion (banter) is another one, I started in a self-referencing kind of way by trying to produce a full transcript Upper Intermediate 中高级 lesson 27 (New Year’s Resolutions). I am making the resulting GB text file available for that lesson, complete with typos and mistakes ;-) Not sure I’ll be able to do this consistently but I’ll give it a try.

Yv - This is really fabulous work!!!

  19. 19 Paul Jan 15th, 2007 at 10:37 pm

Update - I have kept my New Year’s Resolution.

I just finished my one week free trial and I now have a Premium CP subscription. I’m really impressed with the additional learning tools and wish that I had subscribed sooner.

  20. 20 goulnik (郭力毅) Jan 16th, 2007 at 4:30 am

another update : I have been able to produce 8 full transcripts in a week, from Intermediate to zh-Advanced, which is a lot more than I thought possible. But it’s also taken way more than time than I should have allowed, somewhat at the expense of my first resolution to work through all expansion material so I’ll have to focus on those topics of particular interest to me so as to find the right balance

    Brilliant! Thank you!

  22. 22 Denis Jan 16th, 2007 at 10:49 am

Hm, I didn’t realise it was already the 16 (for some reason I thought ChinesPod was in California). I thought the new year resolution special was still in effect :(

  23. 23 chinesepod Jan 16th, 2007 at 11:08 am

    Denis,

There’s still time - another 4 hours or so.

  24. 24 Denis Jan 16th, 2007 at 12:46 pm

    Ken,

thanks for the quick reply. Does this mean I can register now and get the premium for 199$ eventhough the site shows it for 240$ ?

  25. 25 chinesepod Jan 16th, 2007 at 3:01 pm

    Yes.
