Holiday iPod Contest - Winner #1!

We were all as giddy as 小孩子 (xiǎo hái zǐ) on Christmas when we made this first draw for our Christmas giveaway! We literally put your names into a (straw) hat and came up with this:

Congratulations to the lovely Ms. Ana Maria Pinheiro from Brazil, new owner of a red, 4G iPod Nano from ChinesePod.com!

tati-small.jpgTo get your name into next weeks draw, purchase a one-year, premium subscription for you or a friend and we will enter you automatically.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, these hot red iPods are part of the (PRODUCT)RED campaign which donates part of every purchase to the Global Fund to fight AIDS. Click here for more information and to support (PRODUCT)RED.

    Ana!

Congrats - can you please tell the powers that be here that you specifically requested that I hand-deliver it to your doorstep?

I’ve just opened my e-mail and got the terrific news that I’ve won an Ipod. I really can’t believe this is true! I’m looking forward to putting my hands on it!
Actually, I enjoy jogging and I intend to download a mix of chinese classes and dance music to accompany me in my outdoor adventures.

Thank you all who’ve sent me messages! Obrigada, as we say in Brazil.

(oh! I almost forgot - please have Aric hand deliver it to me in Brazil - I have had some problems getting my mail recently!)

    You are too funny Aric!

I love the photograph. Who is the photographer / photoshopper?

    Aric,

Look out! I’m an orange belt Krav Maga fighter and I know how to deal with fresh mail deliverers !…………………

As a matter of fact, I’m probably the oldest student at chinesepod.com , though I’m quite fit for my age. It’s fun for me to be in touch with young people.

Anyway, I’m used to be in contact (and what contact - kicks, hooks, straight punches, etc.) with my krav maga mates, 90% of whom are 1,70m - 1,90 m tall men with previous experience in martial arts… We laugh and make fun of each other the whole time. Now it’s fun to read your messages too.

Aric, in case you don’t know you are very much a brazillian in temperament. If I may suggest, you should go to Florianopolis, see the girls, the beaches, the dunes. High summer is near at hand around here and the waves are calling.

ana maria - my apologies. In fact, I feel so bad, I want to bring you something nice.

patk - not the first time I’ve heard that - I’ve always just assumed it’s because of my fantastic curves.

(sorry, Lilli - I took that, but it was Colleen, our hand model who really made the shot)
