Sketch

One of our leaarners, Dan Johnson, sent us this sketch. I think you’ll agree that it’s masterpiece. If I had been wearing some bling in it, I think I could easily pass for a rapper.

That’s awesome! Caricature is a lot harder than it looks. Kudos to Dan for nailing this one. Great job!

    This is excellent, good work.

It may just be the way I see it, but it seems Jenny’s nose and mouth are slightly out of line with each other though.

Yeah Bazz, and Ken’s got too much hair, I think they call it artistic lie sense.

Aha! Now I know who Jenny reminds me of in that drawing, and it must be the cute nose pose. Is anyone else here old enough to remember watching a TV show called Bewitched?

Anyway, great pic, thanks for sharing.

Yeah, good picture, didn’t know Jenny was that tall! :-)

    Hi AuntySue,

I’m not sure if I qualify as old but I do remember that show - Bewitched. I think they had reruns showing in my local TV back home!:D

Old? I watched that on Aussie TV when I was young. Oh. Wait. I’m not old yet. Nice drawing of Ken, and I think the quirky smile of Jenny’s adds an element of mischevious mystique.

Sometimes, after a hard day in the studio - I cut and paste Ken’s face to Jenny’s body.

Thanks for your comments everyone! Maybe I was a bit off, might try again some time.

No, Dan, you weren’t off at all, it’s great. It achieves its effect by not being photographic but by emphasising certain characteristics, which was your intention, and that way it reminds us even more strongly of the people behind the faces. Our comments simply indicate that we were interested to keep looking long enough to think of some comments to make!
