Podcasting will change the rules of the game

One of the great advantages of podcasting technology is it’s timeliness. Here’s why we get excited about that: We can respond immediately to your requests, or to the news and events of the day. Within hours, we can incorporate that information into the lesssons and get them to you without delay.

Thus far we haven’t been able to do this to the extent we would like - there is till a production cycle of some days at this point. As yet we’ve stuck to the very basic levels, so there is limited scope for using news and events. However, as we progress up the levels and get our production-cycle tighter, we will indeed be able to create the most timely possible lesssons. Nothing of this sort has been done before. The implications are immense. Bring it on!

Ultimately these lesson should be collaborative and interactive. They can be. It is our goal to make the response time (as well as the production-cycle) as short as possible.

Of all the things I want to avoid for ChinesePod, irrelevance is one of the main ones. Help us make it relevant to you. Tell us your thoughts. We’ll try to act on them without delay.
